  Quivira Vineyards’ 2016 Farm-to-Table Dinner Series

 

A completely immersive Biodynamic food and wine experience

 

Imagine a meal where the entire menu, including the wine, has been grown mere feet from where you will be dining. Keeping with the spirit of Quivira’s self-sustaining and biodynamic estate, our partnering restaurants will be preparing distinct menus featuring produce and wines where everything has been grown and nurtured on our estate, even down to the compost that nourishes the farm.

 

New for 2016, we are elevating that experience by partnering with like-minded and passionate chefs who devotedly embrace the farm-to-table concept. These highly-regarded Bay Area restaurants will harness inventive techniques to showcase Quivira’s bounty. Each partner restaurant will bring four entirely unique perspectives to our summer bounty. And, each is relishing the challenge of using only ingredients from our estate. These four dinners will be served al fresco and feature courses, paired with our wines that are intimately connected to this special property.  We are proud to share our summer cornucopia with you!

Each event is limited to 40 tickets at $145 per person

Saturday, July 23rd

Featuring The Table      

One of San Jose's premier restaurants, The Table is driven by a passion for genuine hospitality. They recognize that many of life's best memories have been created around a table, and Quivira provided the ultimate setting. The cuisine is contemporary American, and as Executive Chef Jim Stump explains, "I wanted to be more in touch with the ingredients and return to what excited me about food."

 

Saturday, August 13th 

Featuring Calavera

Calavera brings the very best Mexican region-inspired cuisine, combined with the rebel spirit of Oakland to our estate. The Oaxacan-focused fare is inspired by the artists, ingredients, and craftspeople of Mexico. Calavera’s new executive chef, Sophina Uong (formerly of farm-to-table haven Revival Bar & Kitchen), will be showcasing her expertise for whole animal preparations.

 

Saturday, August 27th 

Featuring Madera at Rosewood Sand Hill Resort

Zagat calls it the "power spot in Silicon Valley". Madera is the signature restaurant at Menlo Park's luxurious Rosewood Sand Hill Hotel. This Michelin Star restaurant celebrates the culinary traditions of the Bay Area. The intent of Madera is to pay homage to the abundant history of this local region - and present cohesive cuisine based on this.

Featuring AQ

The term "AQ" ("As Quoted") often appears on classic restaurant menus to describe fresh, seasonal or specialty items. A well-known pioneer in elevating farm-to-table dining, AQ employs cutting edge cooking technologies and the exceptional seasonal bounty of Northern California. Executive Chef/Owner Mark Liberman showcases the quality and diversity of local produce, meats, fish and dairy with classic French techniques, elegant plating and an unwavering commitment to flawless execution.
